The First Type Of A Person Essay - 1742 Words

An individual can be one of three types of people when he is trying to remember someone. The first type is someone who would off the bat recognize the other person as being familiar, but just cannot recall that person’s name in that exact moment. The second type would be someone who recognizes the person by name, but would not recognize him when he sees him in person. The third type is the person would be the star individual who could correctly recognize the person and confidently greet the person by name. The majority of my friends, as well as myself, often lean towards the first type of person. The feeling that the word, such as the name of a person, is within grasp, but for some reason, you are incapable of verbalizing the word is known as the tip-of-the-tongue phenomenon. It is also frequently referred to as its abbreviated name: TOT. More often than not, we are used to hearing about your parents or someone older who you know experiencing episodes of forgetting where they placed items, such as their car keys, are. As troublesome as it may be, it is merely a symptom of growing older. As we age, our memory will start to deteriorate along with our youthful appearance, causing us to have a harder time to recall information, such as names. Information lasting more than 30 seconds in your mind gets moved from your working memory to your long-term memory where it is stored for the rest of your life.
